Wilmer Valderrama and Wilson Cruz Sign on as Headliners at Comicpalooza 2019
HOUSTON, TX (April 22, 2019) — Comicpalooza’s blockbuster lineup continues to grow with the most recent addition of multi-talented Wilmer Valderrama who will make his Houston debut as a headliner at Texas’ largest pop culture festival.
Valderrama’s career was propelled by the role of Fez on the Emmy Award-nominated series ‘That 70’s Show.’ Valderrama’s extensive acting resume comprises of starring and guest roles in both TV and films including ‘NCIS,’ ‘Minority Report,’ ‘From Dusk Till Dawn,’ ‘Handy Manny,’ ‘The Ranch,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and more. Off-screen, Valderrama is the CEO of his production company, WV Entertainment, which has various projects under its belt including Animated feature ‘Charming,’ ‘The Hollywood Puppet Show’ and MTV series, ‘Yo Momma’ which Valderrama hosted for the show’s entirety. among other fan-favorites.
Joining alongside Valderrama is Wilson Cruz who currently plays Dr. Hugh Culber on the hit CBS series ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ and recently starred in the recurring role of Dennis Vasquez on the popular Netflix series ‘Thirteen Reasons Why’. Early in his career, Cruz won the hearts of audiences playing Ricky Vasquez on ‘My So Called Life,’ which was the first openly gay teenager role to air on network prime time television. A man of many talents, his theater accolades include the portrayal of Angel on Broadway and in the West Coast premier of the Pulitzer Prime and Tony Award-winning musical “Rent.”
Comicpalooza recently announced ‘Game of Thrones’ fan-favorite Emilia Clarke, otherwise known as Daenerys Targaryen, and her trusted advisor Missandei portrayed by Nathalie Emmanuel to much excitement. The dynamic duo will be joining additional guests includingGrant Gustin from ‘The Flash’, John Barrowman from ‘Arrow’ and ‘Doctor Who’; along with cast members from Amazon’s ‘The Tick’ including Peter Serafinowicz and Griffin Newman, as well as, Gates McFadden and Michael Dorn from ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ TV series and movie franchise.
